The IdeaPad Slim 3 offers sufficient performance for a wide range of tasks, from everyday office work to multimedia editing. Let’s first take a look at the CPU, the heart of the computer.
Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 CPU
<
The CPU in the IdeaPad Slim 3, the Intel Core i5-1135G7, is a model from Intel’s 11th generation, which emphasizes power efficiency while operating at high clock speeds.
It performs well in tasks such as Windows processing, Chrome-based web browsing, document editing, video creation, gaming, and entertainment like movie streaming.
Although the 11th generation Intel CPU is no longer the latest as of 2023, the quad-core processing power of the i5 offers top-tier performance compared to other mid-range laptops in the 500,000 KRW price range.
Lenovo IdeaPad Graphics
The IdeaPad Slim 3, aiming for a lightweight and slim design, supports Intel’s Iris Xe integrated graphics.
While it may not compare to high-performance gaming laptops,
it provides adequate performance for moderately demanding games like FIFA Online or League of Legends.
Wide Viewing Angle Display
Despite its portability, the IdeaPad Slim 3 boasts a 300-nit brightness and a wide 15-inch display thanks to its ultra-slim bezels.
The IPS wide viewing angle panel provides clear and distortion-free visibility up to 178 degrees in all directions.
The anti-glare technology reduces eye strain during long work sessions or while watching videos.
Customizable Storage Options
<
Although the laptop comes with an SSD by default, users can choose from various storage options.
Personally, since I wanted to store videos, photos, and music files,
I opted to add a 1TB HDD along with the fast SSD (256GB) for booting and loading, for an additional cost.
Slim and Lightweight Design
As the name suggests, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 boasts a sleek and lightweight design.
Weighing 1.65kg, it’s lighter than its predecessor, although it’s slightly heavier than LG Gram, a Korean ultra-light laptop.
However, even when combined with the battery charger, the total weight is under 2kg, making it easy to carry with one hand.
The slim profile and aluminum-finished body give it a sophisticated look, resembling a neatly aligned album at first glance.
It is available in three colors—Gray, Sand, and Blue—offering users a variety of choices to match their preferences.
Rich Connectivity Options and Additional Features
<
The keyboard features an LED backlight, and a webcam is included for video conferencing, such as Zoom.
There are a total of three USB ports: two of which are USB 3.2 and one is USB 2.0.
However, it is slightly disappointing that the latest USB versions are not supported.

Final Verdict on the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3
In terms of price, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 is often recommended as a budget-friendly option.
While it may struggle with high-performance games like Elden Ring, Resident Evil, or The Last of Us,
it runs less demanding games like League of Legends, StarCraft, FIFA Online, and even PUBG with reduced settings without any issues.
For office tasks such as using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, simple Photoshop editing, and even light video editing for YouTube, the IdeaPad Slim 3 performed smoothly.
While purchasing a high-end device like a laptop requires a lot of consideration, based on my experience,
I found the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 to be an excellent value for the 500,000 KRW price range, and I was so satisfied that I even bought another one as a birthday gift for my father.
